Will it be pink heels or a blue collared shirt?

We now have less than one week until we find out the gender of baby Davis. I'm not sure if I'm more excited to find out what we are having or just see how much he or she has grown. My instinct says I am having a girl but I have no preference, as I would love a little boy that looks just like Ryan. Anyone want to take a guess? Either way, we are so grateful!

Tonight, Ryan and I are preparing for a weekend get away. However this might be more of an ideal trip for Ryan than myself. We are headed to Raleigh for a camping trip with Scott and Cortney. I can't remember the last time I slept in a tent but I know it was a very long time ago. I love the outdoors, hiking and canoeing, just not the bugs, snakes or bears that live there. At least we will be with good company and the big bonus will be making S'mores and sitting by the campfire. Did I also mention Ryan said it would be fine to stop by the really nice mall in Raleigh on our way home? YAY!

We are SO excited!

Tomorrow will be the 15th week and I still can't believe this is true! Most of you know, we have waited a LONG time for this! I'm pretty sure I knew I wanted to be a mother long before I knew I wanted to be a wife or a teacher. Maybe this comes from being the oldest of five or babysitting most of the neighborhood kids from an early age. So to share this news, I am more than grateful!!!

So far....pregnancy has been very good to me. I have had no morning sickness in the 1st trimester other than a few occasional days of queasiness. Food adversions have not been a problem, as I want to eat multiples of everything. And the best part....I can sleep whenever I want and no one can complain. I figure this is God's way of saying, you overcame a lot of obstacles, now sit back and enjoy this little miracle. And that's exactly what we are doing.
