The Countdown Begins

One month from today we will be moving back to Columbus, Ohio. Ryan is nearing the end of his three year commitment to the Navy and is in the process of checking out. We have created wonderful memories in North Carolina and will cherish the friends we have met along the way. Most of all, I will miss our home in Hampstead. It was our first house and the place where we brought home our beautiful baby boy. I also enjoyed the perks of living so close to Topsail Island. However, despite all these fond memories, I miss my mama more, so I'm ready to move back. Ohio, here we come! Until then, we plan on enjoying all of our favorite things in Hampstead and Wilmington. Here are some photos from Finn's first trip to the Aquarium. We recently drove to Carolina Beach to see the Aquarium at Fort Fisher with our friend Donna and her little girl, Savannah.

11 Weeks and Growing

11 weeks and full of smiles!

Wow, so much has happened in the last two months and I have had little time to share. I'm too busy looking at this adorable face! So here's a quick recap of the last 2 months.

Month 1
* Gigi Carol was the first family member to meet baby Finn.
* Grandma, grandpa, Aunt Colleen and Aunt Mary came to visit the first week.
* Mimi and Poppy came to visit the second week.
* At Finn's two week check-up, he weighed 8 lbs (34th %) and measured 20.75 in. (69th %).
* At four weeks we traveled to Ohio so all of our family and friends could meet our baby boy.

Month Two

* Finn had his first day at the beach.

* I celebrated my first Mother's Day with breakfast made by Ryan and a day out to Surf City with my two guys.

* Finn rolled over for the first time at 8 weeks (back to tummy.)

* I took Finn on his first airplane ride to Columbus, Ohio. 

* At Finn's 2 month check-up, he weighed 12 lbs 3.5 oz. (68th %) and measured 24 in. (95th %)
